There is an old adage that says that a job can be done either skilfully but not quickly, quickly but not skilfully or quickly and skilfully but not cheaply. At the Old Red Brick Company it is our mission to provide a service that encapsulates all three. We pride ourselves on our ability to do a job fast, do a job well but also do a job that is on budget. If is for this reason that we come recommended by so many former residential clients and construction companies. It is also for this reason that we have remained the preferred contractor for many of South Australia’s largest development groups.
Our company understands that every demolition will have its own set of unique characteristics. This ranges from the suburb the house is located in, the access to the site, the weather at the time of demolition, the height and amount of vegetation or foliage on the site, the proximity of structures to boundaries and the disposition of the land itself.
It is our goal to help both owners and builders work through the challenges of each site to make sure the process of demolition is as hassle free as possible. We can help handle all aspects of the demolition process. We can assist in working with clients to complete the necessary council forms, we can offer advice about the demolition process and we will work with clients to solve problems as they arise. We are also a fully licenced asbestos removal company and can handle any and all asbestos that needs to be removed from site; whether anticipated or not. Other areas that we can assist with are removal of pools and compacting the area to engineering compaction standards.
Another advantage of our company is our environmentally focused perspective. We are one of the few demolition companies in South Australia that invest the time and effort to collect, process and recycle Adelaide’s unique Old Red Bricks. In investing in this pursuit we have become the single largest supplier of recycled bricks in the state; helping to preserve the heritage of our state by supplying this finite resource that is in increasing demand. We also recycle floorboards, timber, stone and general salvage from the properties that we demolish; reducing the amount of material that ends up in landfill.
